Victoria has been shaken by its biggest earthquake in 30 years. The tremor was recorded at 5.3 on the Richter scale at the epicentre 16km south-west of Moe starting at 8.53pm and lasting about 30 seconds. It was felt across the State as far away as Wagga Wagga.
Reports are coming in from all over the city - from the Dandenongs in the east, Bentleigh in the southeast, Pascoe Vale in the west and through the inner city.
Windows were rattled and floors rocked as the tremor hit around 8.55pm (AEST) on Tuesday and lasted for around 30 to 40 seconds. The Geoscience Australia website crashed as people flocked online to find out what occurred.

Associated with this blast was a 10cm Radio Burst (TenFlare) peaking to 1400 Solar Flux Units. Geomagnetic Storms at high latitudes will be possible June 17th.
