MAJOR X-FLARE !! A Major X-Class Solar Flare was registered from an active region behind the eastern limb at 02:15 UTC this morning officially registered as an X1.7 blast. Associated with this event was a strong R3 Level Radio Blackout. A Large Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has been observed exiting the blast site on latest stereo behind images, the CME appears to not have an earth bound component but we need to monitor this active region closely in the coming week as it could produce strong eruptions that could be directed towards the Earth.
M3.9 SOLAR FLARE ! Another farside solar flare peaking to M3.9 was registered by an unnumbered Active Region not fully rotated onto the earth facing side of the disk, Old Active Region 11726 at 00:57 UTC today. As this eruption took place from an active region just rotating the northeastern limb of the solar corona. The associated coronal mass ejection (CME) will not have an earth bound component or earth directed. This Active region has has yet to be re classified and should be numbered later today. As yet no coronal mass ejection (CME) has been observed with latest imagery, but a strong CME is expected to be leaving this blast site but will not have an earth bound component.
